Marked by strategic growth and an unwavering commitment to Truly Remarkable Service, the history of Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties (CBDP) is rich and storied. From the humble beginnings as a two-person team established in a basement, CBDP has become one of the fastest-growing real estate companies in the nation, with 16 offices and over 500 agents and employees across the nation, including a commercial real estate division. 

 

The story began on July 7, 2006, when Todd and Shannon Conklin founded CBDP just two days after the birth of their first child. The company, then based in Sun Valley, Idaho, quickly established what would become our guiding principles: changing the lives of agents, employees and clients in a positive and meaningful way, a commitment to innovation and a “culture of awesomeness,” creating an environment centered on family, integrity, respect and excellence.  

 

As the company began to expand, the focus remained the same - to provide exceptional real estate experiences for buyers and sellers. By carefully ensuring that each new office acquired by CBDP was a “DNA fit” - aligning closely with values and culture - Todd and Shannon have maintained the close-knit “family” feel usually exclusive to smaller companies. 

 

Today, CBDP is among the top Coldwell Banker franchises in the world, recognized year after year with the prestigious Chairman’s Circle designation. The powerful combination of local ownership and expertise, backed by the extensive international resources of Coldwell Banker, the nation’s oldest and most respected real estate brand, has set CBDP apart from the competition.

 

CBDP is also committed to making a difference in each of the communities it serves. The company’s Distinctive Heroes program has provided hundreds of hours of service to important organizations such as Homes for Our Troops, The Salvation Army and The Alzheimer’s Association. Todd and Shannon continue to give back by sharing what they’ve learned with others through their Conklin And Family programs, Corner Office Coach, Sales Assassins, Married4More and Be Disciplined.
